Dr Rupert Higgins

Dr Rupert is a certified specialist in General Practice having completed his fellowship in 2021. He believes the core of general practice is the care of the whole person.

Dr Rupert has undertaken extensive training throughout his career. He completed a Bachelor of Medical Science with 1st class honours in cancer pathology and then went on to complete a Doctor of Medicine at UNSW graduating in 2017. He completed his hospital training at St Vincent’s Hospital Darlinghurst with secondments to Wagga Wagga hospital and War Memorial Hospital. Entering general practice training in 2019 he held various registrar positions at practices across Sydney to gain experience in the breadth of general practice.  He works part-time spending his other time involved in the education of future GPs through the GP Synergy training organisation as a medical educator.

His specific interest areas lie in mental health and sexual health. Dr Rupert enjoys meeting new patients and helping to identify and achieve their health goals with a strong focus on preventative care.
