Role Responsibilities:

As a Practice Nurse at Green Square Health, you will:

• Provide top-notch patient care, including vaccinations, wound care, infusions, and health assessments.
• Assist in chronic disease management and deliver patient education.
• Collaborate seamlessly with our multi-disciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications & Skills:

To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Previous experience in general practice or primary care is highly preferred.
• Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
• The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a team.

Applicants should have:

• GP clinic experience, demonstrating a pleasant and professional manner with patients and co-workers.
• Proficiency in performing general practice nurse duties, including immunizations, procedure assistance, wound care, and stock checking.
• Nurse immunizer and venepuncture skills (highly desired).
• Experience with all types of Care Plans and Health Assessments, showcasing leadership in chronic disease management processes.
• Effective management of reminder and recall systems.
• The ability to thrive in a team environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with Best Practice software or similar is an advantage.

Green Square Health is an established private billing, a multidisciplinary practice situated in the heart of Waterloo. Our practice is conveniently located minutes from public transport and has parking available on site. Being fully computerised we have a keen interest in how technology can improve healthcare service delivery. We value the experience of our patients, staff and practitioners and hope that the successful candidate complements the team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing administrative support to a team of GPs, nurses and allied health professionals
• Management of appointment book and phone switchboard
• Responding to patient enquiries and managing correspondence
• Patient billing processes and daily banking reconciliation;
• Re-stocking and facilities management;
• Ad hoc administration duties as required
