Green Square Urgent Care Service

What Is Urgent Care?

The Urgent Care Service, co-located at Green Square Health, is an independent service offering same-day care for urgent medical needs.

  • Operating Hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, 7 days a week
  • Who Can Access It?
    • Patients must have a Medicare card
    • The service is also available to community-based asylum seekers

Please note: Your care must be deemed urgent, and if you can see a GP within the next 24 hours, simple cases may be triaged and redirected back to your usual GP.

How to Get Care:

  • Call HealthDirect for triage, or
  • Walk in for an assessment by the urgent care nursing team before seeing a doctor

When to Use Urgent Care:

Urgent care is intended for situations such as:

  • Simple cuts that won’t close or keep bleeding
  • Potentially broken wrist, ankle, finger, or toe
  • Any illness where waiting 24 hours might result in an unnecessary trip to the Emergency Department
  • When your local clinic isn’t available in the next 24 hours

Please note: Non-Medicare card holders cannot be seen at Green Square Urgent Care Service and will need to go to Maroubra Medicare Urgent Care Clinic. We kindly ask that you keep urgent care for truly urgent cases.

We appreciate your trust in us and look forward to continuing to care for you and your family.
